Applications for the GastroErasmus 2027 International Cooking Competition are officially open!
From 25–28 March 2027, young culinary talents, teachers and vocational schools from across Europe will come together for four unforgettable days of gastronomy, competition, creativity and cultural exchange.
Taste the Future, Cook Beyond Borders
GastroErasmus is more than a cooking competition. It is an international meeting point for the next generation of culinary professionals.
Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their professional skills, challenge their creativity, discover different culinary cultures and build friendships with young people from across Europe.
Different countries. Different cultures. One shared passion: gastronomy.
Who Can Participate?
GastroErasmus 2027 welcomes secondary and vocational schools providing education in Culinary Arts, Gastronomy, Food & Beverage Services, Hospitality and related fields.
Schools participate with their students and accompanying teachers or mentors.
Competition Categories
Young chefs will be able to showcase their talent in a range of individual and team categories:
- Individual – Main Course
- Individual – Fish
- Individual – Pasta
- Team – Starter, Main Course & Dessert
- Black Box Challenge
Each category is designed to test not only technical skills, but also creativity, presentation, teamwork and the ability to perform in an international competition environment.

For four days, GastroErasmus 2027 will bring together young chefs, vocational schools, culinary educators and gastronomy professionals from across Europe on one international stage.
Participants will compete, learn from one another, experience different cultures and create memories that extend far beyond the competition itself.
How to Apply
The first step is the Preliminary Application.
Schools interested in participating should complete the preliminary application form with:
- School and contact information
- Country and city
- Preferred competition categories
- Expected number of students
- Expected number of teachers or mentors
Submitting a preliminary application does not constitute final registration.
Applications will be evaluated by the GastroErasmus team. Selected schools will then be contacted and invited to complete the detailed registration process.
