GastroErasmus 2027 is open to students aged 16–20 from vocational, hospitality, tourism, gastronomy and culinary education institutions. Participating schools may register a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 students, accompanied by up to 2 teachers. ERA Alliance member institutions benefit from an extended participation opportunity and may register between 3 and 9 students. Participants compete internationally while representing their school and country.

Schools should first complete the GastroErasmus 2027 Preliminary Application. After the preliminary application has been reviewed, the organising team will contact the school with information about availability, competition categories, accommodation, participation package and the next steps for final registration. Participation is considered confirmed only after the required registration procedures and payment conditions have been completed.

There is no separate preliminary application fee. However, participation in GastroErasmus 2027 is based on a fixed Official Participation Package. The package fee is calculated per person according to the selected room type and covers 5 nights / 6 days accommodation, full-board meals, competition participation, the official cultural programme, Welcome Kit and organisational services.

The cultural programme includes visits to Manavgat Waterfall, Side Museum and Side Ancient Theatre. Participants arriving on 23 March may also select the additional early-arrival accommodation option.

Detailed package prices, payment deadlines and cancellation conditions will be communicated during the registration process.

All dishes are evaluated by an international professional jury according to predefined competition criteria. The assessment considers factors such as taste and flavour, presentation, technical skills, creativity, correct use of ingredients, hygiene, organisation of the workstation, professional working methods and compliance with the competition time. Detailed evaluation criteria and category-specific rules are provided to participating schools before the competition.

The Organising Committee will provide the basic ingredients and products specifically announced for each competition category. Participating teams may be required to obtain certain special, personal or recipe-specific ingredients themselves. A detailed ingredient and equipment list will be shared with registered schools before the competition so that teams can prepare accordingly. Participants arriving on 23 March will have additional time to purchase locally required ingredients.

For SP2 – Black Box Challenge, the competition ingredients will be determined by the Organising Committee and will not be disclosed to competitors in advance.

Yes. GastroErasmus 2027 provides an Official Participation Package that includes accommodation and full-board meals. The official stay is from 18/19 March 2027, check-in, to 24/25 March 2027, check-out, for a total of 5 nights / 6 days. Single, double and triple room options are available at different per-person package rates. Participants who wish to arrive on 18 March to prepare and purchase ingredients may request an additional night.

GastroErasmus 2027 will take place in Manavgat, Antalya, Türkiye. International participants will normally travel via Antalya Airport (AYT). Detailed information regarding the competition venue, airport transfers, meeting points and transportation arrangements will be provided to registered schools before arrival. Transportation required for activities included in the official programme will be organised as part of the event logistics.
